I planning to go to europe this summer. I've been trying to get an idea of how much it will cost me a day on average. I've read everything from $35-$85 a day. I'm going to be there for 3 months (mid may to mid august) I've already bought plan tickets, and an unlimited 3 month eurorail pass. I'm planning on spending half the time in Spain, and Italy. The rest will be spent breifly traveling through Portugal, France, Switzerland, Germany, Austria, and Hungry. What I'm hoping is that $50 a day will be enough for room board, atractions, and misc travel not covered by the pass. I'm planning on staying in hostels, and eating out once or twice a week. The rest of my food will come from a grocery store. So with the current exchange rate in mind ($1 = .8euro) will $50 (or 40 euro) be enough per day?
