   Hey all, ive spent a few hours browsing the dozens and dozens of places that offer surf lessons. Was just wondering if anyone from around South California, or anyone who has been there could share any info on any recommended ones.

   They all say basically the same and are around the same prices.

   And perhaps suggest anythng/anywhere else defenatly worth visiting in California. Ive got 3 weeks to spend and an Amtrak pass.

   Well, with a 3 week Amtrak pass you could go to San Francisco or San Diego or up to Seattle or even all the way across the country to New York and back (it's about a 3 day journey by train if you make no stops).

   I suggest you try San Francisco and San Diego. San Diego also has some surfing spots and San Francisco is just a fun place to be (San Diego is also). Don't know which surfing schools are the best ones, though. Now if you wanted to take sailing lessons--then I could help you out.
