   Hi,

   I want to book a return flight to dar es Salaam in May and get from there over to Madagascar and back. I heard it can be done cheaply by cargo boat but they are not reliable and are dangerous in july.

   Could you pleae advise me on how best to get to madagascar, how much, if going there mid may and back mid to late june is possible etc ?

   I would be travelling alone with only basic french so kinda need all the help i can get......id like to spend a month in madagascar mix of voluntary adn travel to improve french before heading back to tanzania and possibly uganda for a li travel and a friend joingin me in dar es salaam to travel thru malawi adn mozambique and zambia.....

   Any advice would be much appreciated!

   I 'd like to make the same journey as CrysPoole , but I can't find any decent information about this topic!
   So I hope to find some answers this way...

   We ( me and my girlfriend ) want to visit Madagaskar in September.
   The tickets to Dar-Es-Salaam are pretty cheap compared with the direct flight to Madagaskar , so we would like to take a boat ( cruiseboat/cargo/speedboat/catamaran/ hell even a cano ) to get there...
   We would start out with a few days in Tanzania and then a few weeks in Madagaskar.

   So if there is anyone who can help... SHOOT!
