   Hi,

   I am trying to research the cost of living in fiji. I plan on staying in Viti Levu then move on to the Yasawa Islands for a total of 14 days or so. I need help in finding affordable accomodation, there will be 3 of us and will want to stay on the beachfront or as close to as possible. We will be travelling for a year having spent 4-5 mths in Thailand and do not want to spend too much cash there as we will be going on to sydney from there and staying in Australia for another 5mths. Does anyone reccommend anywere from previous?? What were the prices like??

   Also, how long should we spend in Viti Levu before moving on to the Islands???

   Help is needed and will be appreciated!!

   I'm heading to Fiji probably Octopus Resort as well in August 08. Let me know if you go before that so you can give me feedback. Also, how long are you planning on staying in Fiji and what are you thinking of doing?

   Well I dont remember but that sounds incredbily reasonable. I really enjoyed my experience there. We went on a day hike up the mountain, another one into the village on sunday to go to church, there is non-stop snorkeling right off the beach, there is diving, and just plain relaxing. The people were the nicest and friendliest people ever. I suggest getting massages when you can, it was great. If you go I am sure you will enjoy yourself.
