    Hello all!
We are heading to OZ at the end of April with a year working visa and we are a little clueless to say the least. ;)
We have trawled through website after website and whilst its been helpful we would like to hear from people who have experienced it for themselves.
What work is most avaliable? Is there a certain Area that would be best to look for work in at this time of year?
Also we want to go on and travel in Asia and South America after so will be saving as we work. Does anyone have any experience of this? Any ideas on how much we can save (approx) if we live cheap and work hard?
Any comments or info you think would be helpfull would be much appreciated!!
    Thanks!!!!!!!!!!!!! xx

There's plenty of options, it just depends on your skills or your willingness to try something new:) The Harvest Trail (fruit picking/packing work) is going on at some part of Aussie all year round, but like rach says above the pay isn't the greatest so it may not be the best option for saving money for further travels. If you'd like bar work, make sure to sit an RSA certificate when you get to Aussie for the State you'd like to work in. I think these are only day long courses and cost about $120?? (check those details, I didn't actually do it myself). The big cities are expensive in terms of living costs, so while you'll wanna check them out, I'd recommend you do your sightseeing then look for work somewhere smaller. TNT magazine advertises job vacancies around the country, and backpackers hostels usually have a job board
