Anyone receommend a restaurant in New Orleans?   (2 posts)

I'm off to New Orelans at the end of the month for a conference. Sadly I won't get much time there, but hopefully, I may have the chance to try out some local restaurants.

Does anyone have any recommendations for good restaurants in the downtown area? It would be good to find somewhere that's not overly touristy and frequented by locals, and that does good, typical Louisiana food.

Also, anyone know of any brewpubs or micro-breweries there?

    Cheers!

Well as we all know that in some places you eat to live but In New Orleans you should live to eat. If you intend to go the New Orleans, I suggest to eat in the Bacco, I like the fresh seafood there and so the environment there. The price there is acceptable, if you are lucky enough they may offer some promotions, and I think wherever you go for travel you can find some good coupons to reduce the price. I usually go the dealstudio.com they usually have the coupons from the restaurant, com. Hope this helps anyway.
