I'll reply as I see you haven't gotten any in 3 weeks. I live in Vancouver but went to college in Nelson years ago. You don't say why you want to know, (skiing? backcountry hiking?rampant curiosity?) about the snow but anyway it snows off and on in the winter from November to March. There's usually a few inches on the ground for that time and sometimes more. The ski hill called Whitewater is 10 km S of town and they get lots and lots of deep powder snow. The base is usually over 400 cm. Nelson is small city of 10000 people covering a relatively small area so I guess no certain part of Nelson gets much more snow than any other certain part except maybe it melts faster down by the lake than it does up in the hills!
