   Good morning,

   I am just starting research on a summer trip to Israel. Right now, I'm looking for a few good guide books to get me feet wet. Any recommendations? I notice the my favorite Rough Guide doesn't put have one for Israel.

   And I know it will be hot but any preferred time to go from June until the end of August??

   I would advise staying away from eilat during the summer holiday. It's jammed with israeli's on holiday, and can feel just a bit overcrowded.
