Would you consider staying with the locals?? If so, check out www.fijibure.com for info on how to stay in local villages -- it suits budget travellers because it is around F$60/night which includes all your meals, etc. So check it out if you're interested, it also suits groups of friends because some villages only take up to six people at any one time, and most have access to some beautiful remote places in fiji off-limits to normal tourists -- in other words, the place is yours for two weeks!!! No crowded dorms, etc...
