   Hi all,

   anyone have a recommendation for places to stay in the Cook Islands, probably only on Raratonga as I shall only be there for a week on my way to NZ and Oz. I've seen lots of Hostels on the net, but trying to choose one is getting a bit too much!! thank you

   I've just spent two weeks in Rarotonga and I stayed at Inetrnational Backpackers and had an excellent time there. It's a very friendly hostel and they organise nights out on Mondays, Wednesdays, Thursdays and Fridays, as well as cheap cross-island hikes. The only one small criticism is that they sometimes move people from one room to another (I think to help everyone to get to know each other) but this wasn't really necessary as its a very sociable hostel in any case. But overall I would definitely recommend it.
