Uruguay, Paraguay and Argantina   (2 posts)

We are a couple with a 6 year old boy who loves to travel to intersting parts of the world. We went to Chile last year for 3 weeks and drove from Santiago to Puyuhuapi (S of Chiloe) in Patagonia and absolutely loved it.

This year we are planning to base ourselves in Uruguay and from there explore Paraguay & Argantina for 3 weeks in total. Any ideas about renting private villas, on or near a beach in Uruguay?

I also wanted to find out about the safety and road conditions in both Paraguay and Argantina. Would it be as safe as traveling by car in Chile? What kind of itinerary and places of interest would you recommend?

As we'll be travelling with a child, we don't want to expose ourselves to undue risk, but at the same time we would like to explore interesting places. So any recommendations would be welcome.

    Hello,

uruguay offers great beaches, there are many time share apartments in villas which are really outstanding. now prices have come down as many of the people who go there are Argentinians and they have finished their winter holidays today. Really uruguay is a nice countryThe nicest place is of course punta del este and a nice city to explore is colonia. The country is quiet and people are excellent. you and you child will have a nice time there.

    paraguay
not much to say about the country as i have never been there, what i think you can do is to stop in Iguazu, Misiones, Argentina and from there take a day excursion to Paraguay. There are also some kind of ranches in the province which are inside the jungle. Interesting especially for the kid.
The waterfalls are a must to you and your child will love them and will never forget it.

i think i am able to give you all the help you need as this is my country.
