   Pardon me, she says diffidently. May I ask a question here even though I'm straight, and not well read in this branch? :-/

   I'm looking for information on Mercy Travel, which looks like a local Costa Rica travel agency. One of it's headlined specialties is Gay Travel, so I thought I'd try here.

   This doesn't exactly answer your question, because I haven't used Mercy Travel. But did you happen to notice their package "Costa Rica Dating Holiday"? Looks pretty much like a pkg that includes matching their guests (presumably all straight men) up with prostitutes.

   Oh, ahem, I mean "escorts".

   Kinda sleazy, in my opinion.....

   By all means, do go to Costa Rica though. It's a really beautiful country, the people are all very friendly, it's safe and easy. It's not too expensive, either. One piece of advice I'd give you, if you haven't been there before, that is.... stay as little time as possible in San Jose. It's a dump, and the real beauty of the country is away from there!
