It's a nice airport. Very pretty interior. Easy to access downtown and major freewayas.
It has a ladies room close to the American Airlines counter so you can change easily or check your luggage to make sure you have everything in your checked luggage that you can't carryon any longer. They have nice TSA staff and gate agents are very helpful (at least at the American counter). I flew out of there the AM of the UK security alarm and they were extremely professional and helpful.
Usual complement of shops, restaurants. As I remember it they're all on the non-secured side, maybe some smaller shops after you clear security, don't remember that very well.
If you're renting a car there are no gas stations on the exit you take to the airport. There is an exit one or two before the airport exit (coming from downtown) that has several gas stations. Also, you can take the exit to the airport and at the intersection of the airport and a major street that runs parellel to the airport take a right. You'll go about 1 to 1.5 mi and come to an intersection with several gas stations.
I really enjoyed being in Columbus. It's a charming city.
