My husband and I (40-ish) live outside of Philadelphia. We're looking for a mid-Atlantic area destination for a long weekend in June. Someplace we can combine a few hours daily of road biking (prefer flat or slightly rolling hills to extremely hilly) with a stay at a nice inn or B&B and some good restaurants and shopping or other leisure activities. As an example, if someone from outside the Phila area were to ask me the same question, I'd suggest New Hope, PA -- lots of great restaurants, lodging, shopping and miles of great biking trails (both off-road and on). But New Hope is in my backyard. Any suggestions for locations - general or specific? Thanks in advance!
