   I'm looking to take a ski trip in early Dec because that's the only time I can use my vacation. Any recommendations where I can go for the best conditions? I'm fairly open. Thanks.

   We're getting some of the best and earliest snow in ages here in Colorado. A number of areas are already open, and most will open by Thanksgiving.

   where were you thinking of going? want to stay close to home or head over the mountains to the west side of the continent or just off the continent?
   whistler/blackcomb in Vancouver canada has some of the best skiing around outside of Austria. pricey though.... but the runs are fabulous and numerous.
