; D...Say you from US, you get special treatment on China train! I was SO FORTUNATELY to go sightseeing on their national day!

we didn't have a seat, u know, and our train stopped again and a TON MORE people came crawling on, taking mass amounts of luggage, pushing through the sea of people... OMFG! so many people went to Yangshuo? then 2 people came to our seats, it was theirs. we had to move tho nowhere. the woman's suitcase must be filled with stones, the weight could kill a person!! Oo

But after awhile, we were ok. The other new comer refused to let me stand after I told him I was from US. he was a lil bit over exaggerating, and threw it at everyone like I deserved special treatment, and pulled me into the seat, refused to let me stand up for whatever reason! ;->hah...so iwas OK.

I think Jurmala is a very good place for family holydays. Why?

1) Beautiful nature, seaside, river. Jurmala is like island between river and sea. In some places from beach to river is only 200 meters!!!

2) You will see something new, another culture and people. To Jurmala come many people from all Europe! Jurmala have many spa-hotels, biggest aqua park in North Europe!

3) From Jurmala to Latvian capital Riga is only 10 miles. In Riga you can go to old part of the town. Where you can enjoy beautiful 14 century buildings.

The Kingdom of Thailand is a predominantly Buddhist country, and one of the finest countries in the world in which to spend a vacation. Blessed with a tropical climate that is neither too hot, too dry, nor too wet in the monsoon season, it is possible to travel comfortably in Thailand at any time of the year.
Travellers, upon arrival in this land, are safe from the turmoil of life. Even in Bangkok, the Thai uniqueness in its food, architecture, language, customs and religion enliven and please the senses.
For travellers, Thailand is the only gateway in which to experience the special life of Southeast Asia. Due to the fact that the country has never been colonised, the Thai individuality blooms and remains vibrant. When the journey is over, the Kingdom will leave visitors with the desire to return again and again, as the smells, sights, and memories of the land and people remain indelible in their thoughts, for Thailand is a feast that they will always carry with them.
Thailand's climate is tropical, high both in temperature and humidity, and dominated by monsoons. April and May are the hottest months of the year, when even the locals are moved to complain about the heat. June sees the beginning of the South West Monsoon, and brings with it the rainy season, which continues intermittently until the end of October. From November to the end of February the climate is much less trying with a cooling North East breeze and a reduction in the humidity level. This is also the main tourist season, and the best time to visit Thailand. The north and north-east are generally cooler than Bangkok in winter, and hotter in summer.

Most people think of Vietnam as a war. But the old history has all gone. Now peace and safety resides. It's opening to the world as a friendly and exotic place on earth to be.

So why don't you think of coming. I'll name some of the reasons why you should:

1. She's a new place. It's not touristy like in Thailand and many places you go, people got stunned by your appearance.

2. She's safe and friendly. The majority of people in Vietnam are farmers, pure farmers. Many of them have never learnt of much apart from the village they were born in. Naturally, they're almost all friendly and safe to be around. Moreover, the communist government does a good job in ensuring securities all over the country. Nothing of a crime has happened to tourists for the last decades.

3. She has lots to see: A thin country stretching for thousands of Km from North to South. It has beautiful mountains with colorful and rich culture hill tribes. It has beaches and many of those are considered best in the world but still, they're not touristy. Sound cool enough? Not end yet, she's home to 7 UNESCO World Heritages. Almost anywhere you go, you're tumble on a World Heritage.

4. She's cheap. If you want to, then 1 dollar could buy you a basic lunch or dinner. Wandering around and you want to find somewhere to sit and drink? Mostly you don't have to pay more than one dollar for it. Cheap accommodations and services are everywhere around the Old Quarter in Hanoi and Pham Ngu Lao street or Bui Vien street – Sai Gon (if you're traveling on a tight budget). If not a tight budget? Never mind. You have top hotels and resorts of the world in here.

5. Is travel here convenient? Sure, many companies operate the open bus (good quality in general) and they run almost to every capital cities in the country. Moving around is very easy.

6. After all, traveling is to experience the difference. And Vietnam simply is from any place that you have been.

So, Vietnam? Why not!
